FARFA Conference 2021 in San Marcos, Texas
Aug 15, 2021
The McKinney Roots and Seed Project Foundation team traveled to San Marcos Texas to attend the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance 2021 Conference.
FARFA is a national organization that supports independent family farmers and protects a healthy and productive food supply for American consumers. FARFA promotes common sense policies for local, diversified agricultural systems. FARFA is an advocate for independent farmers, ranchers, livestock owners, and homesteaders, as well as the consumers who support family farmers. By protecting independent producers, it protects the safety, quality, and availability of our food.

We were able to sit in on classes that taught us more about composting, Hydroponic Greenhouses, Soil health, Beekeeping, Vegetable farming, Pasture Poultry, Food Safety, and so much more. Being able to attend this conference not only allowed us to meeting wonderful farmers and spread the word about our mission, it allowed us to expand our knowledge so we can learn as much as we can so we can support our community.
If you are interested in attending FARFA, they have a conference every year. Head to their website to learn more and sign up for future events! Don’t forget to sign up to volunteer or donate! We need your help to grow more to give.
